Each Cahoosh Comforter variant is made differently, using an intricate combination of Fabric, Weave Style, & Fill that makes it suitable for a specific sleep personality.
Here's what you get with every comforter from Cahoosh:
- Shell: 100% Long Staple Cotton Shell, either 100% Organic Cotton or 100% Natural Cotton, depending upon the variant selected.
- Fill: Hypoallergenic microfiber down-alternative, locked in baffle-box quilting (no clumping, no cold spots)
- 4 Corner Ties: Want to use this as a duvet insert? Sure! Each comforter comes with corner ties that allow you to easily use these as duvet insert.
- Machine Washable: The comforters are easiest to wash because of the long-staple organic cotton.
Other properties, such as temperature, moisture retention etc, will be dependent upon the variant that you choose.
Material & Weave Science
A comforter has two key parts: the shell (outer fabric) and the fill (what’s inside). Together, they shape how it feels and performs.
The shell is defined by its:
- Fabric – like cotton, microfiber, or linen
- Weave – percale or sateen
- Thread count – 200, 300, or 400 TC
The fill can be either down or down alternative, each offering its own feel and level of warmth.
These factors influence your comforter’s breathability, moisture-wicking ability, texture, weight, and warmth.
